My Year of Living Mindfully - Second Christchurch Screening
Event description
After our first successful event, MindWise is proud to present a second screening of the award-winning documentary about mindfulness and mental health, My Year of Living Mindfully. All profits will be donated to The Youth Hub - a local collaborative venture with the vision of enabling all young people in Ōtautahi the opportunity to lead healthy, safe and valued lives.
In a world-first experiment, journalist Shannon Harvey went in search of answers to the mental health crisis and recruited a team of scientists to put mindfulness meditation to the test. But after a 30,000 kilometre journey from the bright lights of Manhattan to the dusty refugee camps of the Middle East, what begins as a self-experiment, transforms into a life-changing experience.
Join us on Thursday, 19th November at 6:30pm for a special screening at Lumiere Cinema in the The Arts Centre. We'll begin with a short mindfulness meditation practice led by MindWise teachers Betsy Spigel and Neave Ross-Wallace.
