MYAN WA Network Forum: Refugee Week
Event description
MYAN WA is holding its next forum during Refugee Week. This year's theme for Refugee Week is Unity. There will be a panel discussion around Refugee Week and the recent issues impacting young people from refugee backgrounds, which will include the announcement of the Federal budget and COVID-19. This forum aims to engage in discourse on how to support young people from refugee backgrounds within the sector and how to maintain best practices that are relevant to and put refugee young people at the centre of settlement, youth and community sector work.
In this forum, you will get the opportunity to hear from people within the sector as well as young people from refugee backgrounds on their understanding and thoughts on the key issues facing refugee young people.
The first half of the forum will include a panel with lived experienced speakers and service providers, with plenty of time to ask questions, followed by morning tea.
