Description

Join Kim Ogden of Elysian Photography for a MycoSpotting Walk, a gentle, family-focused nature experience designed to help children and adults slow down, notice, and connect. From 10am to midday.

The morning begins with a short introductory talk explaining the concept of MycoSpotting, the art of seeking out, appreciating, and photographing fungi in their natural habitat. Together, we’ll explore why slowing down in nature supports children’s wellbeing, curiosity, and connection.

Following the talk, we’ll head out on a relaxed, family-oriented walk to practise MycoSpotting together. We won’t be collecting fungi just observing, photographing, and discovering the hidden wonders beneath our feet.

Ferndene State Reserve is only a 6km drive from Penguin. Meet in the Ferndene Trailhead carpark from 9.45am.
