Did you know that chronic stress can increase bone breakdown escalating the potential to develop osteoporosis? Unfortunately, that’s part of the biochemical interplay of stress hormones & bone. According to Healthy Bones Australia, 66% of people over 50 have poor bone health! Yoga is not enough to reverse osteoporosis from an exercise point of view, but it does significantly improve nervous system regulation & is effective in reducing blood levels of cortisol - the very hormone that can negatively impact bone.
This 2 hour immersion will blend functional Myofascial Release (MFR) techniques & Yin Yoga to skillfully & effectively release endorphins & relieve mental stress, strengthen & revive fascia & bone health, mobilise & hydrate soft tissue, ease tension & bring fresh blood flow to tired, stiff muscles.
This will be a slow paced, therapeutic class during which we will utilise various props, therapy balls & postures to explore the body in a unique & individually tailored way.
The benefits of MFR & Yin Yoga are felt immediately & will continue to be appreciated long after the immersion has ended.
