Myponga Beach Field Day 2024
Event description
Join Bio·R at our newest habitat restoration project site at Myponga Beach, where you will get the opportunity to learn about how Bio·R reconstructs wildlife habitat and why there is such a great need for habitat restoration in the Mount Lofty Ranges.
Be guided on a tour of the on-site seed production area - the Seed Orchard - and learn how BioR aims to produce all the seeds needed to reconstruct 45 hectares of biodiverse Woodland that will form critical habitat for threatened Woodland Birds.
Take in the breathtaking views over the gulf from the coastal hills above Myponga Beach. Walk with Bio·R ecologists and see our vision of what this land and other areas of the Fleurieu can be.
When:
- Saturday 28th September, 10:00 am - 1:00 pm
Where:
- The Myponga Beach Field Day will be held at 273 Sampson Road, Myponga Beach.
What to bring:
- Boots for walking and pants for leg protection
- Other clothing appropriate for the weather
- Sun protection (hat and sunscreen)
- A water bottle
- A reusable plate and mug
- Something to sit on (chair or blanket)
- Binoculars for bird-spotting (optional)
