These takara/walks are exclusive to kMR 2023!
Join palawa (Tasmanian Aboriginal) guides from award-winning lakapawa lutruwita, who’ve been bringing you wukalina Walk since 2017, as they lead you through ancient forests and valleys of kunanyi / Mt Wellington. Guides share knowledge that spans thousands of generations of connection and kinship.
kunanyi is home to a multitude of endemic species and some of the world's most beautiful wildflowers, birds, animals, fungi, medicines and geology and has long been a place of healing and respite for many palawa.
takara (walk) with us and discover how the muwinina and modern palawa care for and continuously connect to this special place.
Our 1.5hr walk will be a journey of discovery for all senses and offers an immersion into all things palawa.`
PLEASE NOTE:
- As there is rough terrain, this tour will unfortunately not be wheelchair accessible
- This particular walk isn't suited to children but if you're looking for a walk on country with kids, please join our family Fern Tree takara/walk on Sunday!
