Lineup

Naavikaran
MYSTIQ DISCOTHEQ is Naavikaran’s electrifying grounding into to the spotlight, fresh from the success of her last two EPs -- CHIQ DISCOTHEQ and FREQ DISCOTHEQ. Naavikaran is a South Asian trans and disabled electronic musician and filmmaker, ushering in a new era genre-bending life force in Australia's creative platforms. With an already established music catalogue ranging from RnB, Electronic Pop, Rap, Spoken Word, Dance and South Asian classical, Naavikaran's music is a call to various threads of community for strength and change.

Simo Soo
Simo Soo is a vocalist, producer and multi-instrumentalist from Naarm/Melbourne, Australia. Having spent over 15 years in Australia’s underground experimental hip hop and electronica scene, they have released over 30 albums, EPs and mixtapes. The Naarm-based, Western Sydney-born artist has performed all over Australia and has self-booked multiple tours in the United States and Europe. Their music runs the history of hip hop and punk rock music through a gauntlet of avant-garde electronica, heavy metal, Jersey club, footwork and all manner of electronic and noise genres. Soo’s influences run from Missy Elliott to the Mars Volta, Björk to Bad Brains, DJ Rashad to Delia Derbyshire. As an artist, they have forever been incapable of being placed into any box. Where this can be a curse for the best of artists, Soo has used this as a strength to constantly push the boundaries of what music in Australia can sound like, can be and can stand for. Their music is both lush and ugly, cute and purposeful, self-empowering and intersectional. This ideal has extended throughout their vast discography and in their work as head of indie record label, Yes Rave. Throughout their career, they have supported and collaborated with a very diverse range of artists such as KUČKA, Lil B, Curse Ov Dialect, Chicks on Speed, Das Racist, Collarbones, Slippy Mane, Abdu Ali, Nardwuar the Human Serviette, the Boredoms, Racerage, clipping. and countless others.

SHYAMLA
Shyamla (they/them) is a multidisciplinary artist and embodied storyteller working across movement, spoken word, rhythm and sound. A descendant of Fijian-Indian indentured labourers from the Telugu Mala community, their work explores intercaste tension, gender fluidity, ancestral memory and rupture through live performance. Blending contemporary sound design with ancient Tamil practices of Parai Attam (drumming dance), Silambam (martial arts) and Kolam-inspired art, Shyamla conjures portals for reckoning and release. They ignite collective movement, inviting bodies to move through inherited timelines together, through rhythms of resistance. Shyamla's debut solo work GIRMITIYA, presented at Sydney Dance Company in 2025 as part of Dirty Feet’s sold-out season of Out Of The Studio, was commended for its power and vulnerability. A recipient of the Multicultural NSW Premier’s Harmony Medal, Shyamla is the founder of BINDI BOSSES and has created work for the Sydney Opera House, Carriageworks and Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week. They have featured in SBS, ABC, Tamil Guardian and Vogue India.
