MyTime Night - Supported Decision Making Introduction
Event description
Supported Decision Making Introduction
A MyTime Night event with Kindred
About this event
Joining us at MyTime are Ricky and David from the Council for Intellectual Disability (CID) to talk about supported decision making.
Supported decision making means helping someone to take steps to make more of their own decisions.
The presenters will explore how supporting a person with intellectual disability enables them to make decisions to be who they want to be and do what they want to do.
The talk will be co-delivered by a person with lived experience of intellectual disability. There will be a chance for you to ask questions and an invitation to come to CID’s free workshops.
Who is this event for?
MyTime is for parents and caregivers raising a child with disability, developmental delay or who is neurodivergent.
During a MyTime session, there is a guided discussion and a space to connect with other families. These discussions offer an opportunity for parents and caregivers to share and learn from each other.
