Planning for Inclusive Festivities: Virtual MyTime
Event description
Planning for Inclusive Festivities
Virtual MyTime Â
About this event
The Festive season is almost upon us once again! While it can be an exciting occasion, if your child has a disability, developmental delay or autism, there may be some pre-planning to take into consideration. Â
It’s okay to adapt Festivities to your family’s needs.
Join this peer group discussion to hear tips and strategies for a fun, inclusive and hopefully stress-free festive season while supporting your child. Ask for advice from the group, share your experience and connect with families.
This event is facilitated by Kristy
Kristy is the proud parent of Dash, an inquisitive, gentle-hearted, and wonderfully funny 8-year-old.
Dash is Autistic, has ADHD, and global development delay. Kristy likes to say that Dash "got it from his Mama", as she identifies as AuDHD herself. A passionate advocate for her family, Kristy thrives as a parent peer facilitator, dedicated to sharing her insights, celebrating neurodivergent joy, and connecting with other families on a similar journey.
Who is this event for?
MyTime is for parents and caregivers raising a child with disability, developmental delay or autism.
During a MyTime session, there is a guided discussion and a space to connect with other families. These discussions offer an opportunity for parents and caregivers to share and learn from each other.
