This gentle session unpacks how we can help our children build a positive sense of identity. We’ll discuss how to talk about disability in ways that are respectful, age-appropriate and empowering.

In this peer group we’ll explore
• Ideas for building pride and connection through everyday conversations
• How to respond to tricky questions or moments of doubt
• Why language, community, and representation matter

This group is facilitated by Kristy
Kristy is a proud mum to Dash, who is Autistic and has ADHD, just like his mum. She’s passionate about connecting with other families and celebrating neurodivergent joy and all the strengths that come with thinking differently.

Who this event is for

Parents and carers of children aged from birth to 18 years old with disability, developmental delay, autism, rare or genetic conditions, and medical needs.
