Join this MyTime peer group to explore what carer burn out really is, learn practical strategies to gently reduce stress and advocate for yourself without guilt.

This MyTime session is for you—a space to pause, exhale, and feel understood. There will be opportunities to ask questions, share your experiences, and connect with other parents and carers who are sharing a similar journey.

This event is facilitated by Kristy

Kristy is the proud parent of Dash, an inquisitive, gentle-hearted, and wonderfully funny 8-year-old. Dash is Autistic, has ADHD, and global development delay. Kristy likes to say that Dash "got it from his Mama", as she identifies as AuDHD herself. A passionate advocate for her family, Kristy thrives as a parent peer facilitator, dedicated to sharing her insights, celebrating neurodivergent joy, and connecting with other families on a similar journey.

Belongside Families (formerly known as Kindred) is an independent not-for-profit organisation providing free support for families raising children with disability, delay, or autism.

Who is this event for?

MyTime is for parents and caregivers raising a child with disability, developmental delay or autism.

During a MyTime session, there is a guided discussion and a space to connect with other families. These discussions offer an opportunity for parents and caregivers to share and learn from each other.
