Fundraiser Dinner for Nagham of Gaza Play and Film Screening by Ala'a Al Qaisi
Event description
Nagham of Gaza: A Story of Resilience, Courage, and Hope
About the Event:
We invite you to an evening of storytelling, solidarity, and inspiration as we present short films by the award-winning filmmaker and playwright Ala'a Al Qaisi. The event will also include a fundraising dinner for Nagham of Gaza, a play by Ala'a Al Qaisi.
Nagham of Gaza is a heartfelt theatrical production based on the true story of Nagham Abu Samra, a talented karate champion whose dreams of representing Palestine on the global stage were tragically cut short.
This extraordinary project chronicles Nagham’s journey as a symbol of resilience, breaking barriers as a martial artist and advocate for women’s empowerment in Gaza. Her story is a testament to the courage and strength of Palestinians amidst unimaginable challenges.
Why Fundraise?
Your support will help us complete this important project, bringing Nagham’s legacy to life and raising awareness about the ongoing Palestinian struggles. Together, we can honour Nagham's memory and strengthen the Palestinian narrative which has been suppressed, silenced and ignored by all media platforms.
