NAIDOC Dadirri Session - Badanami Campbelltown
Event description
Dadirri is the deep inner, quiet listening, which Aunty Mariam-Rose Ungunmerr from Daly River, has shared with us. Within the Dadirri session we will share knowledge about Dadirri and how this can support a Cultural framework of mindfulness. We will share space by sitting quietly and listening to what we can hear, feel, touch, smell and sense around us. This quiet listening allows for our mind, body and spirit to connect with our environment as one which in turn allows us to calm our energy and feel a sense of quietness within. Spiritually, we are connected to our mind, body and spirit although our day to day modern lifestyle pressures can take us out of alignment with this sense of calmness. The Dadirri session will be provided to all people during NAIDOC 2024, who would be interested in experiencing a Cultural way of practicing mindfulness. Lunch is included at the event.
