Event description

Embrace your creative side with basket weaving and designing some Indigenous art at the First People’s Walk. The First People’s Walk was designed to share a space which is a visual and oral acknowledgement of Indigenous Australians, past and present. In a space for reflection, learning and teaching, broaden your cultural knowledge through storytelling and sand artefacts presented by Ian Shearer. Music throughout the event will be played by didgeridoo musician and Western’s Indigenous student, Liam Shempp. A BBQ lunch will be provided, along with taste testing options of bush tucker and desserts with native ingredients.
