Celebrating and Acknowledging NAIDOC Week 2025
“The Next Generation: Strength, Vision & Legacy,” celebrates not only the achievements of the past but the bright future ahead, empowered by the strength of our young leaders, the vision of our communities, and the legacy of our ancestors.
George Town Council welcomes our community’s attendance at these significant events, as we embark on our Reconciliation journey with our Aboriginal community.
Cultural Burning, Flag Raising & Morning Tea
WHEN: Monday, 7th of July 2025
WHERE: Gathering Space - Regent Square
TIME: 10:00am, followed by a morning tea in the Jim Mooney Gallery
Film Screening: In My Blood It Runs
WHEN: Thursday, 10th of July
WHERE: George Town Memorial Hall
TIME: 6:00pm, light cold supper provided
COST: $5.00 per person
Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult
Community Workshop: Kelp Crafts
