Event description

Participants will decorate their tote bag with Aboriginal designs and colours under the guidance of Yamatji Noongar artist Noelene Regan. During the workshop, Noelene will share her stories, culture, and country through the art.

Learn about traditional Aboriginal art style and techniques as you decorate your own tote bag.

Noelene will also share her knowledge about NAIDOC Week and the Noongar Six Seasons, particularly Makuru that is the wet season where Noongar people traditionally moved inland away from the coast.

Stay after these sessions for some light refreshments provided by Gather Foods and a yarn.

Bookings are essential. Priority will be for City of Vincent residents.

The Vincent Community Centre is a wheelchair accessible venue.
