NAIDOC Week Walk-Shop
Description
Celebrate the opening of NAIDOC Week with BROOKS at Balls Head Reserve with a
unique cultural & "Walk Shop" event for organisations and partners working across
community engagement.
Set in a relaxed harbour side environment, join us and our First Nations Advisor, Mike
Butler, for cultural learning, a smoking ceremony, dreamtime story telling, hands on
string making activity and First Nations catered lunch. The event also invites reflection
on Reconciliation and how we can continue to strengthen understanding, respect and
meaningful engagement with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples beyond this
week.
Tickets are $20 and all proceeds will be going to Yanma Budjari Gumura Dharug
organisation that works across Sydney spreading Dhurag language and culture to all.
This is a wonderful opportunity for engagement professionals and like-minded
community leaders to come together in recognition of NAIDOC Week. Connect with
peers, strengthen relationships across the sector, and gain valuable cultural insights in
a relaxed and meaningful setting, all while celebrating and learning about First Nations
Culture.
We hope to see you there!
Be part of the conversation as we begin NAIDOC Week together.
