Event description

This NAIDOC week learn to weave a bracelet using traditional Aboriginal weaving methods. This workshop is perfect for beginners aged 6 years and older.

This workshop is facilitated by KARI Foundation. The KARI Foundation, established in 2016, aims to strengthen Australian community life through the promotion of Aboriginal culture, reconciliation, and connection. It designs, supports, and delivers programs across various areas, including culture, sport, business enterprise, employment, education, arts, and family support. The foundation works with both Aboriginal and broader Australian communities to foster meaningful connections and celebrate Aboriginal achievements. Guided by values of innovation, inclusion, optimism, authenticity, and cultural legacy, KARI Foundation seeks to create a more reconciled Australia.
