Event description

Participants will learn techniques and Indigenous symbolism to create their own kinship artwork using techniques adopted by Yibaay Wagaan Wiradjuri artist Darren Charlwood.

Darren Charlwood is an Aboriginal cultural educator, artist, and Indigenous Ranger for NSW National Parks in the Blue Mountains area. His cultural heritage is represented in his artistic practice, which focuses on education and cultural representation.

Darren was born in Sydney's Inner West and grew up in Redfern, which was surrounded by the newly empowered Aboriginal community in the 1980s.

Participants will not be allowed into the event if they are outside the age range.

Photos will be taken during this event. Please notify a staff member if you do not wish to be in photos.
