Event description
Open Maker is your place to work on your own projects!
Join us every Monday and Thursday night to create, repair, and be part of a community that enjoys making stuff! These casual, self-led sessions are the perfect opportunity to work with peers, share knowledge, and use our materials and equipment for free. These include the laser cutter, 3D printers, die cutting machines, and various electronics. For more information and resources, visit our dedicated Open Maker website or continue here to make a booking.
To access the Makerspace, participants must:
- Be 16+ with a full library membership
- Book a session in advance (so grab a ticket here!)
- Complete a Safety Induction
- Wear enclosed shoes and appropriate PPE
- Adhere to the Safe Operating Procedures
- Not use external equipment or tools
Open Maker is a self-led experience. If you are looking for a facilitator-led program or just starting out on your Maker journey, we recommend booking one of our Open Maker Workshops to support you. The purpose of our service is to support community learning and prototyping small quantities, as we are a non-commercial organisation.
