Event description

Nakba to Now: What’s Next?

Hosted by the Palestine Action Group Canberra (PAGC) and the Independent and Peaceful Australia Network (IPAN)

With Noura Mansour & Nasser Mashni

Seventy-six years after the Nakba, Palestinians continue to endure dispossession, occupation, and now, genocide — but they also continue to resist, organise, and speak truth to power. The struggle is far from over, and for advocates around the world, the question is urgent: Where do we go from here?

This forum brings together two powerful Palestinian voices to explore the trajectory of the Palestinian liberation movement — from the memory of the Nakba to the crisis of today — and what tools, strategies, and narratives we need to carry the movement forward.

Noura Mansour is a Palestinian writer, educator and political analyst whose work speaks to identity, resistance, and justice across borders.

Nasser Mashni, President of the Australia Palestine Advocacy Network (APAN), is a long-time community organiser and a leading national voice for Palestinian rights.

This forum is not just about reflection — it’s about action. Together, we will explore how to organise more effectively, advocate more powerfully, and stay grounded in both principle and community.

Whether you’re new to the cause or have been in it for years, this is a space to learn, connect, and ask:

From Nakba to now — what’s next, and how do we win?
