Naked Boys Reading is exactly what it sounds like: completely naked men reading literature aloud. It's a sexy book club, a sumptuous and scandalous event sure to arouse, educate, and entertain all at once. Come along to experience the ancient and beautiful art of storytelling – and also, you know, men.

With a brand spanking new cast (don’t spank the cast), and a completely different reading list each time, it’s a truly one-of-a-kind cabaret show that has our cult following coming back for more. Expect poetry, children’s literature, non-fiction and, of course, the worst and most hilarious erotica the internet can provide us. You’ll laugh, you’ll cry, you’ll want to get naked.
And it's not just for the guys! Our events are open to everyone, from all walks of life, of all genders, all sexualities, all everything. Come along.
Please note! Seating is not allocated so make sure to arrive early to nab a good vantage point. Latecomers may not be admitted as we allow revolving door punters to use any vacant seats at the event’s start time.

Charity partnerships: Part of your ticketing fee is donated to one of Winter Pride's chosen charity partners, Qtopia. Qtopia is a social support service for LGBTQIA+ young people, their whānau, and their communities, based in Ōtautahi Christchurch and servicing the greater Te Waipounamu. There are two halves to the work that Qtopia do: one is about building opportunities for community connection through events like the weekly youth group, and the other is about using education to create lasting positive social change. This year they’re excited about providing more support to rainbow young people in rural regions throughout the South Island and your ticket purchase is helping them get that little bit closer to achieving their goals.
