Medical officers, General Practitioners, Nurses and Paramedics working in Emergency Care settings are welcome to attend the evening workshops. Registration is required and as numbers for each session are limited please book early to avoid disappointment.

Each workshop is RACGP/ACRRM accredited and participants receive an attendance certificate for 3 hours of CPD.

Topic : Acute Poisoning Emergencies

Learning Outcomes:

Differentiate the clinical presentation, life threats, stabilisation and investigation of the patient presenting with a history of acute poisoning
Discriminate the procedure for risk assessment in the patient with acute poisoning.
Summarise the risk assessment, red flags and immediate management of the patient with life threatening poisoning
Contrast the options for detoxification and available antidotes for the management of life threatening poisoning.
