Managing the Deteriorating Patient Workshop

The education day will focus on aspects of triage, early recognition of historical red flags, the concept of deteriorating patient with "normal" vital signs and other subtle clues to potential red flags, early escalation pathways, early interventions and consults/transfers before further deterioration occurs locally.
These workshops are aimed at all General Practitioners, Medical Professionals, Paramedics and Nursing staff working within an Emergency Care Setting in a rural or regional hospital in South Australia. The workshops are provided free of charge by an ACEM (Australasian College for Emergency Medicine) initiative funded by the Commonwealth Department of Health.
The aim of this education is to help all emergency medicine disciplines to gain a greater understanding of emergency skills and knowledge in rural areas.
The workshop is RACGP and ACRRM Accredited
