NALHN EMET Endocrine Emergencies Workshop Murray Bridge

This Full day workshop is aimed at all General Practitioners, Medical Professionals, Paramedics and Nursing staff working within an Emergency Care Setting in a rural or regional hospital in South Australia. The workshops are provided free of charge by an ACEM (Australasian College for Emergency Medicine) initiative funded by the Commonwealth Department of Health.

Endocrine Emergencies Workshop

Join us on the 28th of November for a full day interactive workshop on all things Endocrine.

The aim of this education is to help all emergency medicine disciplines to gain a greater understanding of emergency skills and knowledge in rural areas.

Delivered by experienced educators and trainers from the NALHN EMET.

Learning Outcomes include:

Prioritise the immediate management of the adult with an Endocrine emergency

Summarise the assessment, differential diagnosis and red flags in the patient presenting with Endocrine complications

Differentiate single and mixed acid base disorders

Discriminate the causes for mixed acid base abnormalities

Discuss the clinical presentation and management of electrolyte disorders associated

with Potassium, Sodium and Calcium
