Founded in 1977 by Miljenko “Mike” Grgich and Austin Hills, Grgich Hills Estate holds legendary status in the American wine story. Mike Grgich earned international fame as the winemaker behind the 1973 Chateau Montelena Chardonnay that shocked the wine world by placing first in the famous 1976 Judgment of Paris blind tasting.

Today, the estate remains family-owned and operated, farming 363 acres of certified organic and biodynamic vineyards across Napa Valley without artificial fertilizers or pesticides.
