Description

The "drop in" community information sessions are an opportunity to learn more about the Package 4 investigations and proposed options, and discuss how they may relate to your area. To make the most of your time, we encourage you to review the Package 4 materials available through the project website and join an online session with Trax before you drop in to an "in person" session with Airservices.

You're welcome to attend at any time during the session. Please register to help us manage venue capacity. If capacity is reached, priority entry will be given to registered attendees.

No decision has been made on any of the options under consideration through Package 4. Community and industry feedback will help Airservices understand local circumstances, concerns and preferences and will be considered alongside technical, environmental, operational and regulatory assessments.

Airservices Australia is a government-owned organisation responsible for the safety of 11 per cent of the world’s airspace. We are responsible for the safe and efficient management of Australia's skies and the provision of aviation rescue fire fighting services at Australia's busiest airports. We work closely with our customers and industry to support the long-term growth of the aviation industry.

Trax International is an international airspace design and traffic management consultancy contracted by Airservices Australia to provide the additional capacity and independent expertise required to support delivery of the Noise Action Plan for Brisbane.

Package 4 - the last package of work for the program - considers larger changes beyond the constraints of the existing Brisbane airspace design. For example, Package 4 will include engagement on options for the use of different runway modes that may offer opportunities for noise relief and options for respite routes that could be used to alternate when flight paths are used. This work will incorporate changes that have been part of Airservices' previous phases of engagement.
