Nature walk for women
Naracoorte Pistol Club to Naracoorte Caves via the Naracoorte Caves Trail
One Way approx. 8.5km or Return approx. 17km
Choose your length - please note you will need to organise your own pick up if one way.
This walk is on wide flat tracks for most of the km's and is a good mixture of farmland, forestry and native vegetation. We will cross over Old Caves Road but we will not be walking along that road.
This walk will begin at Naracoorte Pistol Club at 9am (please arrive 850am) with estimated arrival time at the Naracoorte Caves at 11am, pack your lunch or order at the cafe. You have the option to pull out at the Caves or walk the return leg back to pistol club.
Although this track is easy to walk you will need to be able to walk for 4 hours, if you wish to do the return walk. If you have not walked with me before please call me to discuss prior to committing to the full 17km.
Please note that sometimes a walk may go longer than anticipated due to unexpected circumstances.
Note: There is a toilet at the Pistol Club and Naracoorte Caves, otherwise it will be behind a bush.
Due to the variability of the weather, the following items will be required:
- small backpack
- 1 - 2 litres of water
- sun protection
- rain coat, layers
- lunch, extra snacks (unless purchasing at caves)
- comfortable walking shoes
Please ensure you are clothed appropriately as if you arrive underprepared you may be asked to not accompany the walk for safety reasons. You will receive an email prior to the walk with extra details and please contact Natasha 0408 086 792 if you have any questions.
If there is extreme weather forecast the walk will be cancelled.
Minimum age required is 13 years old as long as they are accompanied by an adult.
