In August 2021, we set up a stone Bora ring and ceremonial ground opposite Adani’s mine and have been continuously re-occupying our land since then ~ ‘Narrayina - always here’ ~ asserting our human rights as Wangan and Jagalingou people to practise culture and live on our yamba nani (homelands) .

Despite Adani’s attempts to remove and antagonise us, we have continued our cultural ceremony unhindered. And we have made history - our rights to practise our culture on a mining lease have now been recognised under the Queensland Human Rights Act.

Join us for a very special four day celebration at Waddananggu to mark four years of strength, determination and Wangan and Jagalingou resilience.
