Join acclaimed artist Natalya Hughes for a transformative workshop exploring the intersection of traditional media and textile artistry. Over the course of a day, participants will delve into the creative process, learning techniques that span from the tactile nature of collage and watercolour to the intricacies of punch-needle tufting.
In the morning session, participants will design motifs using a variety of mediums including collage and watercolour painting, which will later be adapted for tufting. Following a break for lunch and conversation, the afternoon session will transition to the realm of textile art as participants learn the punch-needle tufting technique. Natalya will demonstrate the fundamentals of this versatile and expressive method guiding participants through the techniques and processes she has employed to create custom textile works.

All required materials – including watercolour paint, collage papers, and take-home tufting kit
Light lunch - There is an opportunity to advise of any dietary requirements when making your booking.

Please arrive 10 minutes early to avoid late starts and allow time to find an all-day carpark.
This Masterclass will take place outside the gallery under marquees. Please wear weather appropriate clothing. In the case of wet weather, the Masterclass will take place inside in which case warm clothing is advised.
