Nathanael Barlow

The 2023 Apollo Theatre "Child Star of Tomorrow," Nathanael Malik Barlow loves God, his family, his friends, and music. Nathanael is 18 years old and has been singing and composing music since he was four.

Nathanael studied vocal music at the Philadelphia Clef Club of Jazz where, in May of 2022, he had the privilege of opening for the internationally acclaimed, grammy-nominated Sun Ra Arkestra. He was invited to sing for renowned jazz bass guitarist, Gerald Veasley and had the honor of performing with industry heartbeat Lil John Roberts. Nathanael is also a student at the Germantown Settlement School of Music where he studies classical voice and piano.

He is a vocalist, instrumentalist, visual artist, playwright, actor and poet. He loves to sew. He is also an activist, advocate, and an avid reader. Nathanael graduated high school at age 16, one year early, in June 2024.

Nathanael attends Berklee College of Music on a full scholarship. He was selected from 11,000 applicants as a 2025 Young Arts Scholar with Distinction. Recently, Nathanael was invited to perform in London before a star-studded audience for a television pilot.

It is his varied interests that inspired his loved ones to affectionately name him The Renaissance Man. His name actually means, A Gift from God.

The East Falls Train Station is a short walk from the Fallser Club. Parking in East Falls is no problem! There is ample free on-street parking near the East Falls train station driveway at 3610 Midvale Ave and a paid municipal lot three blocks away at 4100 Ridge Ave.  Midvale Ave and Ridge Ave are both well-lit!
