National Inter-Club Sabre & Foil Team Challenge
8am Saturday December 3 2022
The Auckland University Fencing Club and New Zealand Academy of Fencing invite you to a fun day of Foil and Sabre fencing.
Location : University of Auckland Epsom Campus

Competition Format
Direct Elimination Matches to 45 points, with fence-off for each place in top eight.
Seeding of teams will be based on available competition data for team members.
Self Refereeing may be expected if a lack of available referees.
Certificates will be awarded for 1st, 2nd and 3rd placed teams only.
Eligibility/ Team Composition
This is a club competition, with no limit on how many teams each club can enter, although once the venue capacity has been reached the D.T. Has the discretion to decline entries.
Mixed gender teams are welcome.
Each team should have 3 or 4 fencers.
“Hybrid” teams will be allowed, but only in cases where there are not enough fencers available from your club to form a team. The purpose of allowing hybrid teams is to allow entry for non-club fencers or club fencers with insufficient numbers.
Formation of hybrid teams for the purpose of creating a strong “super team” is not allowed. Entry of hybrid teams will be at the discretion of the D.T.
Registrations
Registration closes on November 27th at 8:00pm. Late entries close on December 1st at 8:00pm. After this date entry will be at the discretion of the DT and Organisers.
Team Managers - Please nominate a team manager who will make the booking via Humanitix.
We will then contact the team manager to request a list of team members.
The person registering should be in charge of distributing and forwarding any information concerning this event.
Please register each team as a separate ticket within one booking. If you have 3 teams you should have 3 tickets in your basket.

Entry Fees:
Standard registration is $90.00 plus cc and booking fees.

Late Entries, received after 8:00pm on November 27th will attract an additional fee of $30.00
Entry fees are payable via the entry system.
Equipment
All clothing must be in a good state of repair.

Results and progress of the competitions will be posted to FencingTimeLive.
Timetable of Events
Closer to the event date we will publish and circulate a timetable, but as team competitions are busy events please anticipate a full day of fencing.
Podium Protocol
All team members of winning teams are eligible for a certificate and will be asked to join their team on the podium.
