    Event description

I am pleased to write to you with an invitation to mark the 16th anniversary of the National Apology to the Stolen Generations and to announce that the Prime Minister, The Hon. Anthony Albanese MP, will be delivering the keynote address.

To Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, this will be the most significant event since the referendum for a First Nations Voice to Parliament, and of course to all members of the Stolen Generations.

Joining the Prime Minister, Professor Tom Calma AO will also address the event, reflecting on the significance of the Apology in light of the referendum result, and the importance for continued focus on Closing the Gap. We will also hear from the former Prime Minister of Australia Dr Kevin Rudd AC.

Attending will be members of the Stolen Generations. Also attending will be CEOs, directors and Chairs of Australia’s leading corporations, Government Ministers, Directors General and Federal Departmental Secretaries.
