National Day to Remember- Candle Lighting Vigil 2023

Please join us on Wednesday 3rd May for our National Day to Remember those who have lost their lives as a result of domestic or family abuse. In Australia at least one woman is killed every week by an intimate partner. Often, children are also the victims of these homicides. Since 2005 Candle Lighting Vigils have taken place annually across Australia, with the first being in Queensland and organised by 15 members of the Queensland Domestic Violence Services Network (QDVSN).

The event this year is hosted by Micah Projects- Brisbane Domestic Violence Service, Challenge DV, DVConnect, Queensland Police Service, Immigrant Women's Support Service and Red Rose Foundation.
