NATIONAL MULTICULTURAL HEALTH AND WELLBEING CONFERENCE 2023
Event description
Join the Federation of Ethnic Communities’ Councils of Australia (FECCA) and the Australian Multicultural Health Collaborative (Collaborative) for the inaugural National Multicultural Health & Wellbeing Conference 2023, at the Sheraton Grand Sydney Hyde Park from 21-22 November.
In partnership with NSW Health, the NMHWC will address challenges, review best practices and explore how to improve access to health and wellbeing services for Australia's culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) population.
Key objectives of the National Multicultural Health & Wellbeing Conference 2023:
-
To draw together all relevant stakeholders to address challenges in reducing health inequities and improving access and health and wellbeing outcomes for more than half of the country’ population—people from Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CALD) backgrounds in Australia;
-
To engage beyond the multicultural health sector and encourage a broad array of delegates, engaging mainstream services and organisations and other representatives to be involved in discussions and initiatives; and
-
To showcase Australian and international best practice on how to embed culture and linguistic diversity in the health system, policy formulation and implementation, service delivery, and research.
