National Museum Cafe Sketching
Description
Sideways Social is a low-pressure way to get out and do something, alongside other neurodivergent folks. No pressure to talk - you can arrive a little late, sit a bit apart, and leave whenever you need.
This time we're settling in at the National Museum café for some relaxed sketching, with the lake through the windows and people inside. Draw what you like, or just sit with a coffee - both are completely fine. I'll bring an assortment of drawing materials and paper.
When: Saturday 22 August, 11:00 am-12:30 pm
Meet: National Museum of Australia, at the cafe in the main foyer. Look for my yellow wide-brim hat.
Cost: $15 - covers me organising and being there, plus your sketching materials (coffee/food is your own)
Bring: something warm (the café can be cool by the glass), any sensory supports; I'll bring the sketching gear
Good to know: arrive late or leave early anytime, no need to chat or mask. Indoors and warm, with a lift and accessible toilets.
