National Reconciliation in Education Forum and Narragunnawali Awards 2025
Description
Join us for an exclusive gathering of education leaders from across the country to discuss the barriers and enablers to progressing reconciliation efforts within the Australian education sector and to celebrate excellence in reconciliation in education.
The National Reconciliation in Education Forum and Narragunnawali Awards 2025 will be hosted by Shelley Ware, a proud Yankuntjatjarra and Wirangu woman and renowned educator and media presenter.
National Reconciliation in Education Forum: Bridging Now to Next
9am – 4pm
The day will commence with the National Reconciliation in Education Forum where First Nations and non-First Nations education leaders will critically examine current reconciliation efforts within the Australian education sector.
The forum will include insightful panel sessions, table discussions, and opportunities to connect with peers from across the government, Catholic, independent and early learning sectors.
Building on the National Reconciliation Week 2025 theme, Bridging Now to Next, forum participants and panellists will:
· identify the barriers and enablers to progressing reconciliation in education and systems-change
· be inspired and challenged to deepen reconciliation actions within their organisations and institutions
· grow networks and opportunities for cross-sector collaboration.
The forum program has been shaped with guidance from a reference group of education sector representatives.
