Description

Celebrate National Recycling Week with a free follow your waste tour guided by the team from Halve Waste!

Jump on the tour bus for an exclusive behind-the-scenes journey to find out what happens to your waste once it leaves your kerb. As part of the tour you will discover how simple actions, like sorting your waste correctly can make a meaningful difference for our environment.

The tour involves a short bus ride from the Lavington Library to the Albury Waste Management Centre, one of Australia's most advanced waste management facilities. Here, you will see first hand what happens to waste locally.

Participants will then be invited for a light morning tea and a Q & A session about what goes in which bin, and to discuss some of the problem items the waste teams are faced with daily. Participants are encouraged to bring along any items of waste they are unsure of how to deal with.
