National Simultaneous Storytime (NSS)
Event description
National Simultaneous Storytime (NSS) is held annually by the Australian Library and Information Association (ALIA). Every year a picture book, written and illustrated by an Australian author and illustrator, is read simultaneously in libraries, schools, homes and bookshops around the country. Now in its 24th successful year, NSS is a colourful, vibrant, fun event that aims to promote the value of reading and literacy.
This year the NSS book is Bowerbird Blues by Aura Parker. The story will be read by City of Stirling Deputy Mayor, Suzanne Migdale.
At City of Stirling Libraries, our main National Simultaneous Storytime will take place at Stirling Libraries - Scarborough at 10.30am on 22 May 2024.
To go with the theme of the book, look out for some exciting cool blue scavenger hunts and displays at all Stirling Libraries.
