National Tree Planting Day with Fifteen Trees
Event description
Come join the Fifteen Trees team and other volunteers as we pay respect to Mother Nature and plant trees for National Tree Day.
Please come to support the wonderful work of Mars and the Westgate Park team. For over 20 years, this community group has been improving the diversity of the area and providing habitat to many native creatures.
We'd love to see you there on the fun group activity, to booster the diversity of the area, provide habitat to so many creatures and add trees plus bushes to the landscape to protect this very special space.
Location: Westgate Park, Port Melbourne. Ample parking just off Todd Rd, head towards the carpark at Pink Lake on your left.
Morning tea will be provided. BYO water, and gloves (if possible). Wear very warm comfortable clothes and sturdy shoes, all of which are ok to get dirty.
If you feel you would like to attend but not financially able to given the $10 ticket (which covers morning tea), please do get in touch with Lou at banksia@15trees.com.au to go on our free entry guest list, as we believe everyone should have access to community tree planting projects we host.
To keep our community safe, please do not attend this event on the day if you have recently tested positive to COVID and isolating. COVID Safe practices will be adhered to on the day (i.e. hand sanitizer available, no sharing gloves/other equipment and wipes available for tools after use. As an outdoor low risk setting we will take every precaution to ensure health & safety for all).
