National Volunteer Week Morning Tea and Volunteer Self Care Workshop
Event description
National Volunteer Week 2024 invites all to discover the power of volunteering with the theme ‘Something for Everyone’. Join us during National Volunteer Week as we showcase the array of opportunities available, highlighting how each person can find their meaningful role in making a difference.
Join us at Volunteering North Queensland on Thursday, 23rd May for a special event dedicated to the well-being of our invaluable volunteers!
As a part of National Volunteer Week, we will be hosting a Free Workshop and Morning Tea to celebrate our wonderful Volunteers and Volunteering Community 🙌🫂
Nourish Your Well-Being: Volunteer Self-Care Workshop: When volunteers are caring selflessly, the question has to be asked “Who is caring for the volunteers?”. This workshop is designed to address this very question!
Explore the importance of self-care and share experiences and tips with fellow volunteers on how to look after yourself so that you can continue to care for others. Our interactive session will delve into the essence of self-care and its pivotal role in sustaining a healthy volunteer experience. We believe that caring for oneself is the first step towards caring for others.
Following the workshop, join us for a free morning tea at Volunteering North Queensland!
This is a wonderful opportunity to meet other volunteers, enjoy delicious food, and listen to our guest speakers. Everyone is welcome to join this event. To secure your spot, please register for the event on the VNQ Website. We look forward to seeing you there! 🎉
