Event description

 20-26 October 2025

Sessions in Apollo Bay, Winchelsea, Cobden and Batesford

This National Water Week, Corangamite Catchment Management Authority invites all citizen scientists to a FREE introductory session on iNaturalist – the online biodiversity citizen science platform.

Join us for an informal session where you’ll learn how to upload observations by practising with some intriguing macroinvertebrates collected from a local waterway, then continue the iNaturalist journey with us as we record more biodiversity these waterways have to offer over the session.

This year, the Great Southern BioBlitz (24–27 October) overlaps with National Water Week, so it’s the perfect time to learn the skills you need to contribute to this international spring biodiversity survey!

Enjoy morning tea provided while you connect with Corangamite CMA staff and fellow nature enthusiasts.

Sessions will run for about an hour each.

Everyone is welcome so please share with your friends.

Children under 18years must be accompanied by a guardian.
