Ever wondered about our Local Native Bats?

The Wagga area is home to a number of native species that are considered to be endangered or vulnerable, including the Grey-headed Flying-Fox.

Join us for a discussion on the banks of our Murrumbidgee River (It's a central Wagga location but we’ll send you the exact details a day before the event) where we will hear all about the Grey-Headed Flying-Fox and meet the people who work to ensure their survival. You’ll be able to see them roosting in their natural habitat and watch as them as they leave to feed for the evening. While we are waiting, we will have some activities for the kids as well as some more technical information for the grownups.

Perfect for all ages, however children must be accompanied by an adult.

Where: Central Wagga location on the banks of the Murrumbidgee

When: Wednesday September 13 from 5pm to approx. 6.30pm (or whenever they fly out)

The event is free but as we will be close to where they roost, numbers for participants are strictly limited.

FREE EVENT but you must register to attend.

As we will be gathering in an outdoor area you must wear enclosed footwear, warm clothing, and possibly a sun hat (depending on the weather).

If you would like to sit, please bring a fold up chair or a picnic rug.

Parking is available off site and there is a short walk to the location, however if you have any disability access requirements please let us know at the contact email below so arrangements can be made.
