Mon, 19 May, 6pm - 7:30pm AEST

Event description

Join Dr Amelie Vanderstock this World Bee Day as she shares her passion of the beauty, diversity and importance of native bees.

Discover which native bees may visit a Sydney garden and how to encourage them with plants they will love and suitable nesting places. Learn about bee ecology, how to identify the various local species and where they live (most don’t live in hives!).

If you've ever wondered 'how to make a bee hotel' that will actually support native bees to flourish - this is the workshop for you!

Participants will be provided with a timber bee house and nesting materials to fill it with to take home for their garden.

If you would rather make your own bee house at home, select the free ticket called 'without bee hotel'.

Venue: Ground Floor The Old Boot Factory Spring Street Bondi Junction.
