We're excited to welcome Joan Heavey & her carnivorous plants workshop!

Joan has been involved in various programs focused on flora and fauna throughout her life. She is the co-author of ‘Weeds of the Sunshine Coast’ and author of ‘A Field Guide to Native Orchids of the Noosa Biosphere Reserve and the Sunshine, Cooloola and Fraser Coasts’.

Joan is also an active member of Native Plants Queensland Sunshine Coast, a member of NPQ wallum study group and Noosa Integrated Catchment Association. She is an Honorary Life Member of Noosa Parks Association and was convenor of the NPA Botany Group for many years.
