Paul and Angela, the Two BUSHIES, specialists in Native Fire-Wise Landscaping to guide you through essential tips and strategies, including how to design a garden that minimises bushfire risk.

It is important to understand that no plant is completely non-flammable. Species require maintenance (e.g. pruning) to ensure optimum condition. While a well planned garden is important, it is only one aspect of bushfire preparedness and should not be relied upon in isolation.

This event is part of the Fire Wise Education Project being facilitated by the Fleurieu Environment Centre. The project is supported by the Foundation for National Parks & Wildlife and has received grant funding from the Australian Government through the Preparing Australian Communities local stream.
