Event description

In this workshop you will learn how to make a native flora inspired vessel from clay.

You will be guided through the techniques of forming a cylinder, attaching a floral leaf or flower design, and finishing the vessel.  Inspiration will be drawn from Australian artists John Coburn (abstract artist) and Celia Rosser (botanical illustrator) as well as the beautiful surrounds of Centennial Park.

At the completion of the workshop, your vessel will be fired and glazed at Waverley Woollahra Art School.  Work can be collected from the art school after three weeks.

This workshop is suitable for beginners and advanced students. Materials and firing included.
