Native Grassland Planting Day
Event description
The Iramoo Young Stewards are working to return some of the missing plant species to Iramoo Wildflower Grassland Reserve.
We have grown Featherheads, Possum Tails, Running Postman, Pricklefoot and many others to plant into a prepared wildflower area at the reserve. We need your help to carefully plant them.
Meet at The GREEN Lab @ Iramoo and walk out to the reserve. The GREEN Lab is located at Building 1J, Kirner Road, Victoria University, St Albans - look for Iramoo Native Plant Nursery.
Come dressed for the weather conditions - enclosed footwear and long trousers are a must.
We will provide all tools required. You are welcome to bring your own clean gardening gloves (but we have plenty for use).
BYO water bottle. Note that there are no facilities at the reserve. Toilets are at The GREEN Lab.
Stick around after for a delicious lunch and cup.
One free grassland tubestock plant for every participant. Iramoo Native Plant Nursery will be open during the lunch period for plant purchases (EFTPOS only).
