NATIVE PRAYER

Tea Ceremony & Eco-Somatic Dance

~ Friday January 17th

~ 7:00 PM

~ St. Peters Anglican Church, QT

~ Limited Spaces Available

" There is a seed planted somewhere

Hidden in the soil of the soul

In the garden of the heart

A seed dreaming the becoming

And the unbecoming

As fires blaze

And thousands continue to die

What do we place on the altar?

Where do we root our prayers?

How do we let our bones grieve?

And still remember the depths of love

For the dying

For the living

For the devastation

For the catalyst

Bowing in reverent humility

To the vast web of relations

To the changing myth of our times

To the surrender and yet fervent will

To be wildly courageous walking in the dark

And commune with the sacred alchemy

Becoming native to the wider body of earth

We are a part of nature

Not superior to Her "

~ Sierra Espinal

Welcoming the tenderness, rawness, wildness, vulnerability, and intimacy of community dancing for earth and for humanity. A time to offer to something wider and vaster, to step into the unknown in times of great transition while deeply listening and visioning. A space to be with and support whatever may be cracking open, stirring, blossoming in the field of your heart.

Arrive 5- 10 minutes early to settle into the space.

Please bring a tea cup and cushion if you would like to sit on.

The altar will also be a co-creation so if there is anything from home or nature you would like to bring to offer to the altar you can place it there before the dance and collect it after.

No "experience" required, come as you are. You were born from vibration. You already are the dance and the dancer, being danced.

The specifically curated soundscape and guidance is intended to support deeper embodiment of your freedom of expression.

"Where is your ecological niche? Where is the sore spot in your landscape that needs the shape of your body? The press of your tender foot? Where can you place yourself like an acupuncture needle in the mountain, the clear-cut forest, the web of relations that you, yourself, are woven from? Place me where I can melt into medicine. Place me on the tongue of the one who needs my taste."

~ Sophie Strand / The body is an Ecodelic

May our collective rhythmic vibration carve the pathway to liberation and together weave ourselves into a new story.

With reverence and love,

Sierra
