Event description
Native Seed Diversity & Revegetation
Join native vegetation specialists to learn about climate smart solutions for revegetation and seed collection.
Tuesday 11th November 2025
9:00am - 3:00pm
Venue TBA (at Culcairn)
Presentations Include:
Dr Tricia Hogbin - Using the Restore and Renew webtool to guide seed sourcing for resilient, climate-ready restoration. (online presentation)
Including a hands-on sneak peek of the updated Restore and Renew webtool to be launched by Adapt NSW 25th November.
Tricia is Restoration Genomics Outreach Coordinator for the Research Centre for Ecosystem Resilience (ReCER) at the Botanic Gardens of Sydney. Her role includes raising awareness of the importance of genetic diversity in restoration and facilitating collaborative projects with on-ground practitioners. With launch of an updated version of the Restore and Renew webtool in November 2025, she is currently focused on helping restoration practitioners use the webtool to improve the long-term success of their restoration. Tricia has used genetic information to guide conservation of threatened plants and restoration of native vegetation since the 1990s and is excited by how the genomics era makes this information more accessible to all.

Tash is a Senior Land Services Officer - Murray Native Seed Services at MLLS and Chris is a Land Services Officer at MLLS. They will be sharing their knowledge on seed production areas, seed collection and climate smart revegetation in the Murray Region. We will also be visiting a local seed production area and be shown the correct seed collection techniques.
